Ingredients

2 pieces of bread trimmed
¼ cup of ouzo
2 Tbsp. Olive oil
1 small onion diced
1 LB of lean ground beef
1 egg
1 Tbsp. Minced garlic
1 Tbsp. Shredded fresh mint
½ tsp. Dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Place the trimmed bread pieces into a food processor and blend until smooth. Place the breadcrumbs and the remaining ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Mix well. Shape the meat into 1- inch balls. Place onto a parchment paper lined baking tray and place into a preheated 375-degree oven. Roast inside the oven until golden brown and tender (about 12 minutes). Remove from the oven and serve with a mixed nut rice pilaf.
